2026 NAE Summit (3/2/2026)

Please mark your calendars for April 7-8, 2026, and join the Non-Traditional Education Program (NEP) Team at the Putnam County Convention Center for the 2026 Non-Traditional and Alternative Education (NAE) Summit: Bridging Systems, Changing Lives. Over two days, educators, leaders, and partners will come together to explore how stronger connections across programs, agencies, and communities can improve student outcomes in alternative settings.

Revisions to Parentally Placed Non-Public School Reserve (2/24/2026)
The department is requesting that LEAs review and, if needed, revise their reported counts of parentally placed private school children with disabilities used in the IDEA proportionate share calculation for both 2025-26 (submitted via the FY25 tool) and 2026-27 (submitted via the FY26 tool). This request follows a recent review of federal guidance related to 20 U.S.C. § 1412(a)(10) and the corresponding regulations in 34 C.F.R. §§ 300.130–300.133.

Please follow the guidance document to ensure student counts are entered correctly. Additionally, we will be hosting optional office hours on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. CT | 2 p.m. ET and Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1 p.m. | 2 p.m. ET to provide further technical assistance to LEAs revising reports.   1. The Technical User Guide contains information including how to access InformTN on page 5. 
  2. Click the question mark in the upper right corner to open the Help section which contains the Technical User Guide.

Single Sign On (SSO) Account Set-up and Password Assistance (9/29/2020)

Individuals that have a locked SSO account should send an email to DT.Support@tn.gov requesting a new Welcome email.
